MSSKL Under 18 Football Tournament

This was the moment my team mates and I have been waiting for. The MSSKL Football Tournament was supposed to be held sometime in March but it was brought forward to the 4th,5th and 6th of February which was a few days ago. The tournament was held at the Pusat Kecemerlangan Cochrane in Cochrane.

En. Rasyid had our training planned out for us as we had to train as much as we can due to the short notice. We had training during CNY holidays and as usual it is always fun. :)

This week, I went to school for just a day and I was looking forward so badly to Wednesday. Even Seng said to me "aiyo Zan, how to sleep tonight la? can't wait la !". I understand that feeling dude, happens to me all the time haha :).

Day 1

So on Wednesday, we gathered at school and it was very nice of Abang Helmy to send us by van. The van dahlah damn spacious and nice. Really cun la :). Then our first match was against Seri Mulia. We lost to them last two years back to back hehe =.= We could have won the game but we made a few errors and we handed them a 2-0 win. After the match, we lepak-ed around the area because we had an afternoon game against St. Gabriel. So about half of us went to Jusco. It was fun man because Jusco was so empty. When we went to the food court, it was so easy to get a table. Can choose somemore hehe. So we ate nicely lah. After that, we decided to walk to Stadium Badminton Cheras to check out the badminton tournament there. We saw Chi Hoe, Azry, Tinash, Erin, Julian Yee and Yuki. We kacau them a bit also lah. Simply support other unknown schools haha. Later on, we walked back to the place where the tournament was held and halfway walking we decided to take a 'PICNIC' by the roadside. It's actually a piece of small grassy place with a tree, in the middle of the road. Like an island but surrounded with cars!. hahaha that was funny.

Before the St. Gabriel game I can still remember when I saw the St. Gabriel fellas they looked big la. Aliff said they were from Brickfields haha!. Seng also said to me " eh Zan, I think among all the teams here, we are the only ones that doesn't look intimidating, all of us always smilling only ". So when we played St. Gabriel, I was quite nervous because I've never really played as a centre back before. I've always played as a leftback but En. Rasyid put me as a centre back maybe because Chi Chin had to go for tuition and miss the game. Najiy was my centre back partner. Thanks to goals from Syahmi and Arjun, we beat them 2-0. It was quite a positive start for us as we needed some confidence to boost the team's morale.

Day 2

Our game today was against Sri Garden. It was an afternoon game so the day before that En. Rasyid told us NOT to go to school because we're exempted from school. I slept nicely and woke up late lah at home. I was delighted when I found out we were gonna play against my old school. I miss that school and my friends especially my bestfriend Ahmad Nazri. He played as a striker. I had to mark him man. It was quite tough because he's damn fast. Overall it was a great game. Syafiq and Rejab scored 1 each to secure us another win.

Day 3

We had a morning game against Sains Alam Syah today. Abang Helmy couldn't send us due to some problems. So the whole team had a nice morning walk from school to Cochrane. haha It was seriously a great experience. I can say that this is the best team I've ever played with in my whole life :). Really great bunch of fellas man. I made some mistakes during the match that was costly to the team and I'm really sorry guys. You guys played a great game throughout the whole time and I'm sure En. Rasyid is proud of that. To those who didn't get to play, don't worry I went through that before and you guys have next year (form 4s la). It was kinda sad to crash out of the tournament but that is life. We cannot win all the time and we have to learn from our mistakes. Thanks to everyone for the support you guys gave to me :). I really appreciate it.

I'll upload the pictures soon when I have time. Right now, a STACK of homework is waiting for me after 3 days of absence from school. :) Chow!
